At Düsseldorf Airport: Follow signs to the Düsseldorf Airport Train Station
Take an ICE or IC train heading toward Bielefeld Hauptbahnhof (Hbf)
At Bielefeld Hauptbahnhof: Take tram line 4 toward Universität/Lohmannshof and get off at “Universität”
Walk approximately 5-10 minutes to the ZiF
From Düsseldorf Airport (By car)
Exit the airport and follow signs for the A44 towards Velbert/Essen
Merge onto the A52 towards Essen
At the Gelsenkirchen-Buer junction, switch to the A2 towards Hannover/Dortmund
After about 100 kilometers, switch to the A33 towards Osnabrück/Bielefeld
Take the Bielefeld-Zentrum exit and follow signs for Universität/ZiF
From Frankfurt Airport (By plane)
At Frankfurt Airport: Go to the Frankfurt Flughafen Fernbahnhof (Long-Distance Train Station)
Take an ICE or IC train heading toward Bielefeld Hauptbahnhof (Hbf). (You have to change trains once at Hanover main station, Cologne main station or Frankfurt main station)
At Bielefeld Hauptbahnhof: Take tram line 4 toward Universität/Lohmannshof and get off at “Universität”
Walk approximately 5-10 minutes to the ZiF

Exit the airport and follow signs for the A5 towards Kassel/Hannover
After about 95 kilometers, switch to the A44 towards Paderborn/Dortmund
After about 70 kilometers, switch to the A33 towards Paderborn/Bielefeld
Take the Bielefeld-Zentrum exit and follow signs for Universität/ZiF
